Brighton’s Brightest Nurseries

Guy Parker-Rees visits our Hove Nursery

Guy Parker-Rees and Gerald the Giraffe help the children at Pumpkin Patch Hove

create their own paintings

The children at our Hove Nursery enjoyed a lesson on drawing with children's illustrator Guy Parker-Rees (Giraffes Can't Dance and The Hippo-Not-Amus) as part of a project for World Book Day. Guy helped the children create their own characters with the help of Gerald the Giraffe. The children all dressed as their favourite storybook characters and went to the Hove library on World Book Day to attend an exhibition of their beautiful artwork.

Forest School
at Pumpkin PatchForest_School.html
At Pumpkin Patch we have always valued the importance of children exploring the outdoors and so introducing Forest School was a logical next step. We trialled a 10 week programme in the
heart of the beautiful
sussex woodland and
the outcome more than exceeded our expectations. news_files/EY234878__3.pdf
